Market never disappoints! Incredibly warm welcome. Solid menu. Fabulous food: A classic Rueben and fried chicken. Good & hot and served quickly. We're regulars and we will continue to come back.
Market in St Helena is a well lit, old school charming, something for everyone classic bar and restaurant with excellent food and service. The attentive staff have a warmth and grace that creates a welcome and relaxed experience. The perfect small plate for me was the sizable well made light and tender crab cake with salata of fresh corn, green beans and peas. Sit at the bar and enjoy a lovely well mixed cocktail or glass of wine and a light meal, and you may meet someone new, likely from St Helena.
Market is in an historic building downtown St. Helena. The food and service was excellent. I had a really excellent heritage tomato bisque, followed by a fresh Dungeness crab Louie. My companion had the calamari and a Caesar salad. All of which was plenty of food for lunch. We shared their custard dessert, which was delicious. Parking is available (mostly) on the street or in a lot a block back.
We were here for dinner several years ago and decided to drop in for lunch this time. We were really happy with our choices. Started with the lobster roll appetizer which may have been the highlight of the meal. We both had the crab Louie salad and were not disappointed.
